With the changes made in the past few months I have had to get used to a new neighborhood. I am so excited to be within walking distance of so many restaurants, parks, bars and SUBU. I have been waiting for a new refrigerator to be delivered for over a week and have been hesitant to fill up the old one with more groceries, so I have used that as an excuse to venture out into my new neighborhood. While I have loved trying new and favorite restaurants, I cannot wait to have my kitchen all set up and ready for cooking.
The other night I dinner with some friends at Maxine's on Shine. If you are local and haven't check this place out, you should definitely find a reason. Its a little pricey but good for some appetizers and hour! Very cute and intimate with great live music. It would be a great place for a date night :) They have a really cool special that I am going to try very soon. Its called their Mystery Dinner Tour and for $25 you get a three course meal and a glass of wine, but you do not know what any of the food is going to be, its up to the Chef!
We sat outside on their really cute patio so the lighting wasn't great for photos but here is a pic of our cheese plate that was fantastic. They are also open for lunch Wednesday - Saturday, and since they are a couple of blocks from my place I will be spending some time there, maybe to do some blogging!

I have been finding yummy fall recipes for weeks and cannot wait to bust out my crock pot and start experimenting. I am also about 5 minutes from a Farmers Market and will love having the fresh pasta and produce right around the corner!!

This morning I had my wonderful ladies group and I put them through a tough workout :) They have long been lovers/haters of the Turkish-Get-Up (see below) but today I introduced them to Grasshoppers (also see below). They were indecisive about which they love/hate the most. These exercises are both great for working just about every muscle group in your body, therefore getting your heart rate up and resulting in that love/hate feeling. Do you prefer one over the other?
Tonights SUBU WOD starts with some Turkish-Get-Ups. We have the choice of 20 on each side with 25# for ladies or to find our 1 Rep Max. Feeling a little froggy at the moment so I think I will go for the 1 Rep Max :)
